iPhone 17 Pro could have a major change in design

For several years since the iPhone 11 Pro, the back of the iPhone Pro has remained unchanged, generally speaking. Of course, the camera bump gets bigger as the iPhone Pros evolves. However, this may change for this year’s lineup of iPhone 17 Pro models. Front Page Tech’s 3D artist Asher posted the above renders of what the iPhone 17 Pro could look like, and that image corroborates several reports that Apple is adopting an oblong camera bump along the top, a design detail that would be inspired by the Google Pixel 9 Pro.

As you can see and based on Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser’s claims, the iPhone 17 Pro will adopt an all-new two-tone design that’s akin to the 2020-2022 iPad Pro models with a darker-shaded oblong camera bump that’s flanked by the iconic triangular camera system on the left and a vertical arrangement of the LED flash, microphone, and LiDAR scanner. Of course, the design for Apple’s upcoming iPhone remains questionable as other components such as the LED flash and LiDAR would be much closer to the cameras to produce more accurate results when taking photos, and Apple’s iPhone models have always been well-known to take such quality photos. Even Mark Gurman from Bloomberg believes that those concepts were based on a fake CAD drawing.

Of course, we have over six months until the speculated unveiling of the iPhone 17 Pro lineup, so design specs are subject to change. We can expect Apple to introduce those phones as early as September.
