Apple has started rolling out macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 to the public, with the new build number being 25G83. This update comes 1.5 weeks after the release of macOS Tahoe 26.6.1 to the public, which included a security fix for an issue where “an attacker on the network may be able to authenticate to Screen Sharing without valid credentials” As mentioned on their Security Update webpage, macOS Tahoe 26.6.2 includes fixes to another 20 security vulnerabilities, including WebKit, ImageIO, Kernel, and more, making it essential for users to update as soon as possible. This update is currently available for all devices that support macOS Tahoe, including:
  • MacBook Air with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
  • MacBook Pro with Apple silicon (2020 and later)
  • MacBook Pro 16-inch (2019) with an Intel chipset
  • MacBook Pro 13-inch (2020, Four Thunderbolt 3 ports) with an Intel chipset
  • MacBook Neo (2026)
  • iMac (2020 and later)
  • Mac mini (2020 and later)
  • Mac Studio (2022 and later)
  • Mac Pro (2019 and later)
macOS 26.6.2 does not include any new notable features or any new Apple Intelligence features. We can expect the new Siri AI features only with the release of macOS 27, iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and more, which are set to debut next month. macOS 26 is the last major update for Intel-based Macs, as macOS 27 Golden Gate only supports Macs with Apple Silicon. If you have already installed macOS 27 Golden Gate beta on your Mac, you will NOT see this update. Did you find any more new features in the updates?
