Apple Vision Pro is set to be the first new platform to receive Apple Intelligence features post-launch, Apple announced Friday.

In a press release, company officials confirmed that visionOS 2.4 would contain some of the features from the company’s buzzy AI suite, including Writing Tools, Image Playground, and Genmoji. Bloomberg‘s Mark Gurman first hinted at this announcement Saturday.

Writing Tools allow users to refine text with on-device large-language models to adjust tone and fix grammar issues. It also enables users to call for help from ChatGPT to help compose new copy or request more granular changes.

Image Playground allows users to generate images using the likenesses of friends and family in quirky art styles. You can use text to describe a theme, costume or object and see it reflected in an image generated locally inside Messages or the dedicated app.

Genmoji allows users to generate custom emoji by typing or speaking out a description. They can be used inline or as a sticker within the Messages app.

Smart Reply, Create a Memory Movie, Image Wand, and Notification Summaries are also set to make the cut in this first rollout of new features, company officials confirm. One notable exception from this update, however, is the new set of Siri features, including device support and integration with ChatGPT.

Beta testers have indicated that Siri in visionOS 2.4 uses the pre-Apple Intelligence animation, much to the dismay of some X users.

The company’s engineers seeded the first beta for the new update on Friday, and spokespeople confirmed the update is set for an official public launch in April. Though Apple Intelligence is set to expand to other regions and languages with the corresponding updates for other platforms, Apple Vision Pro will require the system and Siri language to be set to U.S. English to use Apple Intelligence at launch.

Company officials confirm more Apple Intelligence features will be available on the platform as the year progresses–presumably, this includes the latest Siri features, as they’re the biggest exception. Suspiciously, the iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4 and macOS Sequoia 15.4 betas still do not include the previously announced on-screen awareness and personal context features Apple fans have been awaiting. If the new Siri experience comes to Vision Pro, I suspect this could come with a new Siri animation and recognition of real-world objects in the user’s view.

visionOS 2.4 provides other major enhancements users of the early-adopter product have been begging for. Namely, it allows Vision Pro owners to guide a Guest Mode session using an iPhone or iPad and select which apps are available for their guest to use.

The update also brings two new apps to users of the device. Spatial Gallery in Vision Pro enables users to browse spatial photos and videos curated by Apple from various artists, brands and even Apple Originals. The Apple Vision Pro app for iPhone acts as a companion similar to the Apple Watch app, and will allow users to browse spatial content to add to their lists and remotely install apps, among other features.
