Apple Pay now being accepted as a payment method on PlayStation 4 & 5 consoles

It was announced over the PlayStation X (formerly Twitter) account where it stated that Apple Pay is now officially a payment method that can be used on PlayStation 4 and 5 consoles when making purchases through the PlayStation Store.

PlayStation did provide a link to its website that includes directions on what to do and how to use Apple Pay from its supported consoles.

Once you have added items to your cart from the PlayStation Store, you then go to the checkout where you scan a QR code with your iPhone or iPad, which then enables you to make the payment through Face ID or Touch ID on the Apple device you are using. This was confirmed by 9to5Mac last month.

Previously, PlayStation had only accepted Apple Pay through its mobile app where users could make those purchases through it and pay with Apple Pay that way.

Now that both the PlayStation consoles and PlayStation app accept Apple Pay, it not only provides an easy and secure way for users to pay for new games and add-ons, but also opens the door for Apple Card users that will get 2% in Daily Cash with each purchase they make.

On top of that, those that have Apple Cash they’re wanting to use for said games and add-ons will have the ability to do so now.
