Apple started offering certified refurbished models of its latest iPad Air with the M3 chip in the United States and several European countries. This iPad Air was introduced earlier this year in March alongside the MacBook Air with M4 and Mac Studio with M4 Max/M3 Ultra.
The iPad Air packs serious performance at a more affordable price, and the M3 chip enables hardware-accelerated ray-tracing and mesh-shading so you can play console-level games that render realistic graphics in real time. Just like the previous generation, iPad Air supports both the Apple Pencil (USB-C) and Apple Pencil Pro, which takes drawing and creativity to a whole new level. iPad Air also supports the “new” Magic Keyboard, which adds a row of function keys and has a similar design that’s more akin to the M4 iPad Pro’s Magic Keyboard. However, the new Magic Keyboard for iPad Air lacks backlit keys, a haptic trackpad, and an aluminum palm rest, but at least Apple started offering this accessory in black when Apple introduced the M5 iPad Pro last month.
The M3 iPad Air starts for $599 ($499 education-pricing) on Apple’s website, but you’ll see about 15% discounts when you purchase Apple’s certified-refurbished products, which feature the same 14-day return period and the same one-year limited warranty.
