It was announced earlier this week by Apple that it has brought Tap to Pay support over to Malaysia. It is a feature Apple first released back in 2022.
By accepting this format of payment, it now enables businesses small and large to use an iPhone as a mini point-of-sale (POS) device. By doing this, customers can use their credit or debit card, or their iPhone or Apple Watch via Apple Pay to make a transaction directly from the merchant’s POS iPhone.
As of Wednesday, April 22, ADAPTIS, Fiuu, HitPay, Stripe, and Zoho are the first payment platforms in Mayasia that have brought Tap to Pay support on the iPhone to its merchants.
Merchants must be using an iPhone XS or newer in order to use Tap to Pay on the iPhone.
