While the iPhone 18 Pro models and the highly anticipated “iPhone Ultra” are just around the corner, we still have a lot more products to look forward to in the coming years, particularly the 20th-anniversary edition of the iPhone, and according to a leaker known as “Fixed Focus Digital”, they claimed on Weibo that factories have now been prepared to manufacture what would be the biggest redesign since the iPhone X back in 2017 – the tenth anniversary since the iPhone launched.
The leaker claimed that the iPhone 20 will adopt an “all-glass” design, and the manufacturing quality is expected to be comparable to that of the current iPhone Air. An earlier report from Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman indicated that Apple’s goal is to have a “mostly glassed, curved iPhone without any cutouts in the display.” If that means anything, then this unreleased iPhone could feature a 2.5D-glass design with the glass extending over all the edges of the smartphone.
Fixed Focus Digital further claimed that we may see any material until 2027 at the earliest, as they expected the iPhone 18 Pro to feature the same aluminum design as the current iPhone 17 Pro. This further indicates that Apple is reserving different materials for the design of the iPhone’s 20th anniversary edition.
This 20th anniversary iPhone is expected to come in two sizes just like the current iPhone 17 Pro models, and we expect the biggest product launch to occur in the fall of 2027.
