Apple extends 2026 Back to School Promotion until September 24

Good news to education customers who are considering buying either a Mac or an iPad for school: you now have until September 24 to decide, as Apple has just extended its 2026 Back to School promotion to that date. Originally, the end date for this promotion was set on August 27, but this promotion has now been extended by four weeks.

As previously alluded, this Back to School promotion is available on Apple’s Education Store, and the free perks when purchasing a select MacBook or iPad under this promotion vary from country to country. For example, in the U.S., you’d get a free $150 Apple Gift Card when purchasing a MacBook Pro or a free $100 gift card when purchasing a MacBook Air, iPad Pro, or iPad Air. But in China, Singapore, and Vietnam, you could get a pack of four AirTags when purchasing any of the eligible products. On top of those free perks, you will still get an educational discount on the MacBook or iPad that’s eligible in this promotion.

As a friendly reminder, the MacBook Neo, the entry-level iPad, the iPad mini, desktop Macs, and iPhones are not eligible for this promotion. The Apple Watches aren’t eligible either, despite the fact that they recently received educational discounts. It’s worth mentioning that you are now required to verify via UNiDAYS when purchasing from Apple’s Education Store.

In the U.S., at least, those gift cards may be useful for you, as you could redeem them towards just anything that Apple offers, whether it’s purchasable apps from the App Store, accessories, or even Apple services.
