There are plenty of rumors suggest that Apple will update the Mac mini product line during the year, and today’s report from Bloomberg brings the latest details about the Mac mini, as well as the story about the legendary 13-inch MacBook Air.

According to the report, the new Mac mini will more focus on professional users, similar to other professional Mac models, higher configuration usually means higher prices. Schiller said in an interview earlier of the year in which the Mac mini product line will remain but did not disclose additional details.

Apple is also planning the first upgrade to the Mac mini in about four years. It’s a Mac desktop that doesn’t include a screen, keyboard, or mouse in the box and costs $500. The computer has been favored because of its lower price, and it’s popular with app developers, those running home media centers, and server farm managers. For this year’s model, Apple is focusing primarily on these pro users, and new storage and processor options are likely to make it more expensive than previous versions, the people said.

In addition, Bloomberg also claims that there will be a low-cost MacBook Air that is similar in design to the current MacBook Air but to feature a Retina display. However, it’s believed the screen will likely to have slimmer bezels, otherwise, a speed bump is also on the tap. The media is expected Apple will unveil these Mac later this year, which will most likely to announce in an October event.
