iOS 12.1.2 was released today with bug fixes and improvements to the eSIM activation process for iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR, and improvements to cellular connectivity in Turkey for the latest iPhone models.
This update comes two weeks after the release of iOS 12.1.1, and only one week after seeding the first Developer beta of iOS 12.2.2 ”“ Apple usually seeds more than one beta before an iOS update, but we are likely seeing this early release as Apple is required to push an iOS update out later this week with fixes to address copyright issues with Qualcomm, for iPhone users in China.
iOS 12.1.2 includes bug fixes for your iPhone. This update:
– Fixes bugs with eSIM activation for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max
– Addresses an issue that could affect cellular connectivity in Turkey for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max
This update is now available and users can update to the new software OTA by going into Settings -> General -> Software Update. If you previously had the Developer beta installed, remove the profile in Settings -> General -> Profiles -> iOS 12 Beta Software Profile, delete the profile then restart your device. The software update should then show in Settings.
