In what is probably going to be the toughest year for Sling TV this year, with the losses of FS1, FS2 and the regional FSN stations, the company has now announced today that they have now also dropped the NBC Sports Chicago network from their channel lineup.

This all comes just as NBC Sports Chicago will be losing Chicago Cubs games. For the 2020  MLB season, Cubs games will be played on the new Marquee Sports Network that will launch in February 2020 and is owned by Sinclair Broadcasting Group, which also now owns the regional FSN stations.

With that said, NBC Sports Chicago will still cover Chicago-based teams such as the Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, and Chicago Blackhawks.

NBC Sports Chicago was available on the Sling Blue plan, which costs $25 per month. However, given the fact that in a week’s time, Sling TV has lost FS1, FS2, FOX (available in select areas) and now NBC Sports Chicago, it might be time for them to either drop the price of the service or add some other networks to their channel lineup for no additional cost to users of their product.

Sling TV has not said what they are going to be doing about this in the meantime, but needless to say is that we hope they add some new channels and networks soon to their channel lineup, or else consumers will go to another streaming service like Hulu with Live TV or YouTube TV.

Sling TV is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple TV and Mac. Their plans are the Sling Orange and Sling Blue, both of which cost $25 a month each, with other Extras that go for a variety of different prices.
