Thanksgiving is officially over this year, but now we are opening ourselves up to Christmas and the specials and movies that come with it.
Here are our picks for this week.
TV:
- “A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving”: Friday, November 27, is the last day to stream this for free in the Apple TV app. After today, it will only be available to those who subscribe to Apple TV+.
- “The Ranch”: This iconic Netflix is original is a good show to watch this time of the year because of the family aspect of it. The entire series can be streamed on Netflix.
- “The Flight Attendant”: As of yesterday, the first three episodes of this new miniseries starring Kaley Cuoco from “The Big Bang Theory” are available to stream on HBO Max. The next set of episodes will be released on Thursday, December 3.
Movies: Since we are in the Christmas season now, each week, this section until the week of Christmas Day will be dedicated to Christmas movies.
- “The Christmas Chronicles 2”: The sequel to the original film is officially out on Netflix.
- “The Santa Claus” movies: Not only is this movie on a streaming service, but it can be streamed in 4K now. Disney+ will be the place to stream this film and its two sequels, “The Santa Claus 2” and “The Santa Claus 3: The Escape Claus.”
- “Pete’s Christmas”: This is more so a coming-of-age type of Christmas film, in my opinion. It stars Zachary Gordon from “The Diary of a Wimpy Kid” movies and Bailee Madison as well. It can be streamed for free with ads on Tubi, Vudu and The Roku Channel.
Sports:
- #13 Iowa State vs. #17 Texas (College Football): This is going to be a big game for both teams will be one of the deciding factors in who plays in this year’s Big 12 Championship. It will be on at 12 p.m. ET, Friday, November 27, on ABC.
- Baltimore Ravens vs. Pittsburg Steelers (NFL): Originally scheduled for Thanksgiving Night, the game has been moved to 1:15 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 29, on NBC.
- Kansas City Chiefs vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (NFL): It’s Patrick Mahomes, who is considered to be the next big franchise QB in Kansas City, against Tom Brady, who is considered on of the greatest quarterbacks in NFL history. This game will be played at 4:25 p.m. ET on Sunday, November 29, on CBS.
