According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, it looks like the sixth generation of the iPad mini is ready for release this Fall. With the anticipating redesign, Gurman dubbed this iteration the biggest redesign of the iPad mini since the original.
Last year, Apple redesign the iPad Air based on the current iPad Pro’s design. The iPad mini is expected to follow suit with a larger 8.4-inch edge-to-edge display, flat-edge design, USB-C port, A14 chip, and Touch ID-embedded power button. A month ago, Jon Prosser shared renders on what the next iPad mini could look like.
On another report, Gurman also reported that Apple is still working on a larger iMac that would replace the current 27-inch iMac. In May, Bloomberg reported that Apple put the development of the aforementioned model on hold to focus on getting the first iMac with Apple Silicon shipped, which was the 24-inch iMac. Because the small iMac went from 21.5 inches to 24 inches, we could see a similar size increase for the larger iMac. Gurman believes that the next larger iMac could ship with a more powerful variant of the M1 chip, possibly either M1X or M2X. The release date for that model has to be determined.
