A recent report published by Digitimes states that Apple is targeting 2024, for mass production of the Apple Car to begin. The report states that Apple is currently in conversations with Asian suppliers, including SK Group and LG Electronics.

The Apple Car project has been speculated since 2015, with extensive rumors of development. Apple reportedly scaled back the project in 2017 to focus on autonomous driving technology, though as recent as 2018, has once again begun developing a physical car.

The internal project is known as “Project Titan”  and has been speculated by many sources with varying dates.

Digitimes hasn’t been known for reliable timing in the past, though the 2024 ambition was backed up by Reuters in December, stating a 2024 production with breakthrough battery technology.
