Apple Music Classical launches on Android

Avatar for David Becker

In a surprising movie from Apple, the company has officially released Apple Music Classical for Android.

This makes it so Android users that are subscribed to Apple Music can start listening to classical music via Apple Music Classical at no additional charge. The app is available to download in the Google Play Store.

Apple Music Classical was originally released for iOS users this past March. This month, it got support for Shazam, which is also owned by Apple.

What does make this surprising is the fact that not only has there been no official announcement from Apple regarding this release, but that the company launched an Android version of the app before releasing it on other devices like the iPad, Mac, or Apple TV.

Apple Music currently costs $10.99 a month and is available to stream on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Watch, and Mac, as well as Android and Windows devices. You can read our review of Apple Music Classical too.
