X app quietly adds support for Live Activities

It appears as though X, formerly known as Twitter, has added support for Live Activities to its iOS app.

I personally came across this when posting tweets this morning on the microblogging social network.

When posting content such as ones that might take longer to post such as GIFs or videos and swiping out of the app, it will load a progress bar across the top of the screen on a device like my iPhone 15 Plus to show how close it is to being posted and published on X.

If you happened to lock your iPhone when the tweet was in the process of being posted, Live Activities will appear there too to show you the progress and how close it is to being published.

If you’re using an iPhone with the Dynamic Island on it, it will show a checkmark when the tweet has been posted.

What are your thoughts on X’s app getting support for Live Activities on the iPhone? Comment below or let us know (ironically) on X at @appleosophy.
