With the highly anticipated forthcoming refresh of the iPhone SE, The Elec has expected that LG Display will be the secondary vendor for the OLED panels to be used on the next-generation iPhone SE.
The iPhone SE is expected to have the most significant upgrade since the original iPhone SE, featuring a larger 6.1-inch OLED display, Face ID, USB-C, an Action Button, and a more modern design with a display that has rounded corners that follow the exterior. This major spec update will finally do away with LCD panels, Touch ID, Lightning, and thick bezels with a Home Button, making the next iPhone SE more in place compared to its higher-end models.
Unsurprisingly, Apple will likely use legacy parts for the upcoming iPhone SE as this will allow Apple to keep the starting price low and to reduce costs and expenses from R&D. Apple has done this in the past with previous iPhone SE models, Apple Watch SE, and lower-end iPad models.
We expect production for the iPhone SE 4 to kickstart in October with an introduction and launch sometime in the spring of 2025.Â
