Back in September 2023, Apple updated the AirPods Pro 2 with a case that replaces Lightning with USB-C for charging. This update coincided with the iPhone 15 lineup, which also marked the transition for the iPhone to switch to USB-C. It’s been a year, but Apple has now started selling refurbished models of the said headphones in the U.S. Certified Refurbished Store for $209 (vs $249 MSRP).

AirPods Pro 2 offers several new improvements such as Adaptive Audio, second-generation Active Noise Cancellation, improved Find My support, the H2 chip, Conversation Awareness, improved dust resistance, and charging via either MagSafe or Apple Watch Charger in addition to USB-C. Additionally, the USB-C models support lossless audio with the Vision Pro headset. Later this fall, AirPods Pro 2 will introduce all-new hearing health features that will be available via a free software update. This will include a Hearing Test, a Hearing Aid feature, and active Hearing Protection when used with either an iPhone or iPad.

As with other refurbished Apple products, they are thoroughly tested, cleaned, and inspected to provide the same quality as you’d expect when buying Apple products new, and they come in a clean, minimalistic white box with all the same documentation. Still, you’d find a much better deal elsewhere as Amazon has the AirPods Pro 2 (USB-C) new for just $189.99 in the U.S, which is $60 off the MSRP.
