Apple rolls out iOS 18.0.1 with several bug fixes

Apple has started rolling out iOS 18.0.1 (22A3370) to the public with several important bug fixes. This update comes two weeks after the release of iOS 18 which debuted a redesigned Control Center, New Passwords app, icon tinting, and more. Apple keeps refining the software experience with every 18.x.x update whilst also fixing security issues.

According to the Release Notes:

“This update provides important bug fixes and security updates for your iPhone including:

  • Touch screen may be temporarily unresponsive in certain circumstances on iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models
  • Camera may freeze when recording macro mode video on the Ultra Wide camera in 4K with HDR turned off on iPhone 16 Pro models
  • Messages may unexpectedly quit when replying to a message with a shared Apple Watch face
  • Performance may be impacted due to an issue with memory allocation on some iPhone model

iOS 18.0.1 also includes fixes to 2 security flaws, according to Apple.

These updates are available on all devices that support iOS 18 including:

  • iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and iPhone 16 Pro Max
  • iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max
  • iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max
  • iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max
  • iPhone 12, iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max
  • iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max
  • iPhone Xs, iPhone Xs Max, and iPhone XR
  • iPhone SE (3rd generation)
  • iPhone SE (2nd generation)
