Apple rolls out watchOS 26.2 with changes to Sleep Score

Apple has started rolling out watchOS 26.2 to the public with a few new changes. This update comes more than a month after the release of watchOS 26.1, joining iOS 26.2, iPadOS 26.2, and macOS Tahoe 26.2. These new updates are expected to bring in more stability in performance and battery life for users running previous versions. According to Apple’s Release Notes, “This update provides improvements and bug fixes, including: • Sleep app adds sleep score notification controls and refinements to classifications • Enhanced Safety Alerts can inform you about imminent threats such as floods, natural disasters, and other emergencies, with rich information like a map of affected areas and links to additional safety guidance (available in the US) • Fixes an issue where the Music app might fail to advance to the next song For information on the security content of Apple software updates, please visit: https://support.apple.com/100100 The update changes the sleep scoring system with better classification, changing ‘Excellent’ to ‘Very High’. This update is available on all devices that support watchOS 26, including:

  • Apple Watch Series 6

watchOS 26.2 includes fixes to 16 security issues with WebKit, Messages, App Store, and more.
