With the release of the first developer beta of iOS 26.4 today, Apple has added a new feature to its set of AI abilities called ‘Playlist Playground’ in the Apple Music app. The feature allows users to make a custom playlist with just a text prompt.

Playlist Playground is still in beta and is available to try on the Apple Music App. The feature can be found by pressing the add (+) button in the Library page of the music app. Once the text prompt is sent, Apple Music will generate a new playlist for you. The feature also comes with ‘New Playlist Ideas’ such as “Morning Coffee Music”, “Disco Songs”, and more. If the feature is not showing up yet, you might need to wait until Apple downloads the necessary AI models onto your iPhone.
Along with this, Apple has also added full-page artwork support for albums and playlists.
