Even though the 2020 NFL season is currently in limbo due to the coronavirus pandemic, Amazon has renewed its deal to cover the NFL’s Thursday Night Football games on Prime Video.
The new deal between Amazon and the NFL goes until 2022. Prime Video will stream 11 live games throughout all of those seasons on the streaming service. Those games will be the ones that are broadcasted on FOX. Twitch, which is owned by Amazon. is also included again in the streaming deal.
Prime Video will also be streaming an exclusive game as part of a new addition to the streaming deal between Amazon and the NFL. The game will be a game played on a Saturday during the second half of the regular season.
It was not said how much the sale of the deal cost, but the previous deal was worth $65 million, according to CNBC.
Ratings from the games were up four percent in the 2019 season, compared to the 2018 games.
