The future of the Mac has never been as excited before as Apple is transitioning all of its Macs to its own Apple Silicon. Last month, Apple unveiled the first iMac that’s completely designed around the M1 system-on-a-chip. This time, it saw the return multiple colors from the Apple’s earliest years of revival.
Earlier this week, Jon Prosser obtained a report that a blue MacBook was floating around the campus. This led to speculation that we could see the next Mac that comes in colors similar to that of the original iBook. Today, Prosser received additional images of the upcoming laptop. He worked with RendersByIan to create these concepts based on those images. In the past, Prosser has accurately indicated the future Apple products’ design with his concept images, most notably the AirPods Max and AirTag.
Based on these concepts, design cues for the future model would include white bezels, white keyboard, and colored aluminum enclosures. Additionally, these images depict a uniform-shaped design with flat edges on the side, rather than a tapered-design that’s similar to that of the MacBook Air. The laptop would feature two USB-C ports – one on each side, but it didn’t indicate if it will have MagSafe. These images also depict the product in the same seven colors like those on the 24-inch iMac. Apple had done a few colors for the original iBook, but it wasn’t as much as those on the 24-inch iMac. If Apple does offer its upcoming computer in all seven colors, that product would sure fly off the shelves.
