Apple launched AirTag about a month ago, and it gained huge reception among customers. However, the biggest concern was privacy, especially when it comes to tracking someone without their consent. Apple has tried to solve this issue by implementing a privacy feature that allows users to disable an unknown AirTag once the device notifies them.
But this feature might not be enough to remedy this issue as the Apple device would go off in three days when an AirTag follows a stranger. Now Apple is taking a different approach by allowing the said device to alert at a random time within a timeframe between 8-24 hours. Another issue with this privacy feature is that it’s only available to iOS devices. Android users can now stop ruffling their feathers as Apple announced that Apple will release an Android app later this year. Additionally, Apple will provide more details in regards to the aforementioned app when it gets closer to release.
