As of today, two iPads have joined the Apple vintage product list. Those two iPads are the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 2.
The iPad Air 2 was released in October 2014 and was discontinued in March 2017. However, it still received software support starting with iOS 8 and going as far as iPadOS 15, which was just released last fall.
The iPad Mini 2 was released in October 2013 and was the first iPad Mini at the time to have a Retina Display, but did not have Touch ID on it. It was eventually discontinued in March 2017, with its last version of supported iOS being iOS 12.
