Apple has today announced the long-awaited upgrade to the MacBook Pro, now featuring the M2 Pro and M2 Max SoCs with up to 96GB of memory in a Press Release along with an upgraded Mac mini with M2 and M2 Pro.

Earlier with the 2021 MacBook Pro, the Space Gray variant did not come with its respective color-matched MagSafe 3 Cable. Rather, it shipped with the Silver MagSafe 3 cable – the same cable that came in the box with the Silver MacBook Pro.

Apple later addressed this with the M2 MacBook Air in 2022 by offering four matching colors of the MagSafe 3 cable for the first time.

This has now been extended to the New 2023 MacBook Pro models as well. One subtle but notable change with these new models is that they now ship with color-matched MagSafe charging cables. With the new 2023 MacBook Pro, the Space Gray variant of 14-inch and 16-inch models will come with its matching Space Gray MagSafe 3 Cable, while the Silver variant of 14-inch and 16-inch models will come with its matching Silver MagSafe 3 Cable.
