Apple Mac accessories that still have Lightning ports

Avatar for David Becker

With Apple’s announcement regarding new MacBooks and the upgrade to the M3 line of chips, as well as changing the Lightning port to USB-C on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro, one might think the company would do even more with that type of improvement.

Despite the new improvements to the Mac being announced Monday night, there don’t seem to be new changes to its accessories from Apple.

Accessories like the Magic Mouse, Magic Keyboard, and the Magic Trackpad did not get full-support for USB-C.

Instead, all three accessories still have Lightning ports on them. They do not have USB-C ports on them, meaning that it makes Mac users still somewhat reliant on Lightning cables as long as the opposite end has a USB-C port on it.
