Apple today released the second betas of watchOS 26, tvOS 26, and visionOS 26 for developers. These new betas arrive two weeks after their initial release following the WWDC keynote. Developers with a registered account can download these software updates through the Settings app on their respective devices.

Here is a summary of what is new in each updates:

watchOS 26 Updates:

  • watchOS 26 now features Apple’s new “Liquid Glass” design, a visual aesthetic inspired by visionOS and also adopted by iOS 26 and macOS 26.
  • It introduces an AI-powered Workout Buddy for motivation.
  • The Smart Stack has been enhanced to incorporate more personal context, leading to improved suggestions.
  • Additionally, watchOS 26 now includes a new Notes app and support for Live Translation.

tvOS 26 Updates:

  • tvOS 26 adopts new “Liquid Glass” design changes, inspired by visionOS, similar to iOS 26 and macOS 26.
  • It supports karaoke, allowing users to utilize an iPhone as a microphone.
  • Improvements have been made for using AirPlay speakers with a TV.
  • New Aerial screensavers are available.
  • The update also introduces support for quicker logins to apps during setup, thanks to Apple Account syncing.
  • Notably, the Apple TV HD continues to receive tvOS software updates, despite being originally released in 2015, marking almost 10 years of software support. However, its features will be limited compared to newer models like the second and third-generation Apple TV 4K. The Apple TV HD was officially discontinued in October 2022.

visionOS 26 Updates:

  • visionOS 26 now supports spatial widgets, which can be freely placed anywhere in the user’s surrounding space.
  • Enhancements have been made to make Personas more lifelike.
  • The update introduces support for shared spatial experiences between two Vision Pro users.
  • There’s also a new, Jupiter immersive environment.
  • It also features support for Muse, a new stylus-like accessory from Logitech.

These betas are currently limited to developers, but Apple plans to release public betas for watchOS 26 and tvOS 26 in July. All major updates are expected to officially launch in the fall.
