Are you a fan of either musicals or Peanuts? August 15 is what you should mark your calendars because a brand-new original Peanuts special is set to premiere on Apple TV, and it will be the first Peanuts musical in over three decades. That last aired Peanuts musical was “Snoopy! The Musical” in 1988.
Featuring original music by Emmy Award nominees Jeff Morrow and Ben Folds, this upcoming 40-minute special will take place at a summer camp with Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock, and the Peanuts gang cherishing each and every memory and adventure they’ll make while taking the effort to save the camp from permanent closure.
This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Peanuts franchise when it started as a comic strip on the American newspaper. Since its launch on November 1, 2019, Apple TV+ has become the exclusive home for airing new animated original series:
