Apple started rolling out the second beta of iOS 26.2 earlier this week to developers, just one week after the release of the iOS 26.2 Beta 1, where Apple added a slider to adjust the intensity of ‘Liquid Glass’ for the clock on the iPhone Lock Screen. Apart from the Liquid Glass update for the Measure App, it turns out that iOS 26.2 Beta 2 includes yet another convenient feature/option. If you have been using CarPlay with iOS 26, you must have already noticed that the Messages app now shows pinned chats at the top for faster access. If you did not like this change, Apple has now added an option to turn it off in beta 2. To turn it off, you need to follow these steps:

  1. Open Settings on your CarPlay interface
  2. Scroll down and find ‘Pinned Conversations’
  3. Turn it off

That’s it! You will no longer see Pinned Conversations in the Messages App in CarPlay mode. Users who are registered as a developer on www.developer.apple.com can opt in to receive beta updates by going into Settings>General>Software Update>Beta Updates and selecting Developer Beta. Do note that these versions are not stable and are meant for testing purposes. The stable version of the update is expected to be released to the public next month reflecting these changes along with more changes introduced in the following betas.
