Apple iPhone 17e Leaks Reveal A19 Chip and Dynamic Island

According to the well-known Chinese leaker Digital Chat Station on Weibo, the budget-friendly iPhone dubbed as the iPhone 17e is slated for a release in the first half of 2026 by Apple. One of the most significant upgrades for this model is the shift in design language. The iPhone 17e is rumored to feature the Dynamic Island, finally moving Apple’s budget lineup away from the aging notch.

However, to keep costs down, Apple is reportedly sticking with a 6.1-inch LTPS OLED display. This screen will maintain a 60Hz refresh rate, which may be a disappointment to those hoping for ProMotion, but it remains a standard, reliable choice for the general consumer market. The real story lies in the internal hardware. Despite its positioning as the “cheapest” iPhone in the upcoming lineup, Digital Chat Station claims the iPhone 17e will be powered by the A19 processor.

By including the latest silicon, Apple ensures that even its most affordable device can handle the latest iOS features and security updates for years to come. This move also suggests that the 17e will be fully compatible with Apple Intelligence, the company’s suite of AI tools that require significant processing power.

What do you think? Would you sacrifice a high-refresh-rate screen for a faster processor at a lower price? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below! Stay updated with the latest news on this by downloading the Appleosophy App from the App Store or by visiting our website.
