Earlier this month, Instagram user @petrmara posted a screenshot of an invite to an Apple Experience, which further indicates that we will likely see Apple refresh its higher-end MacBook Pro models with the upcoming M5 Pro and M5 Max chips. If you go to his account page, you’ll find that this account is a verified (as indicated with the blue checkmark), and as you keep scrolling through his posts, you’ll see that he has also been invited to several Apple events in the past. So you can be assured that this invite is the real deal, and Apple sure has something up its sleeves.
Last week, Apple announced Apple Creator Studio, which is a subscription-based bundle of creativity apps for you to create professional-looking content. Apple Creator Studio will launch on January 28, and that will be during the Apple Experience, which is scheduled for January 27 to 29. This would definitely be perfect timing and marketing for Apple to showcase its upcoming M5 Pro/Max-based MacBook Pros, as they are the ideal candidate for this upcoming bundle.
Apple released its MacBook Pro models with the M2 Pro and M2 Max chips in January 2023, and later that year, Apple updated its MacBook Pro lineup again with the M3 series of chips. So this wouldn’t be the first time that Apple updates its MacBook Pro models this month. Expect this upcoming update with the M5 Pro/Max chips to be minor, but Apple is preparing a major refresh for the MacBook Pro as soon as later this year with OLED displays and an all-new redesign.
