This morning, it was announced that users that have Spotify Premium will now also have access to Hulu at no additional cost to them.

Previously, users were having to spent $12.99 a month to get access to both. However, unlike the deal with Spotify Premium for Students program, users who just have regular Spotify Premium will not be able to add Showtime or HBO channels to their Hulu subscription. This is something that Spotify Premium for Students users can do.

In order to get this, you must sign up for Spotify Premium through Spotify’s website. From there, once you have signed up, you will be able to get both Spotify Premium and Hulu. If you were a user that was paying $12.99 a month for Spotify Premium and Hulu, you should see a $3 deduction in your bill in the next billing cycle.

The version of Hulu that Spotify Premium users will be getting is the ad version of Hulu. There will be no option to get the ad-free version of Hulu through Spotify.

To make things better, users who do sign up for this do get a 30-day free trial of Spotify Premium and Hulu, so essentially, your first month of using this new version of Spotify Premium with Hulu is free.

This all comes at a time where Hulu just adjusted their prices last month for their ad tier plan and Live TV streaming service too.

Apple Music does not offer anything like this to its users. In the past, the service has offered two exclusive TV shows, Planet of the Apps and Carpool Karaoke, but nothing has been added to the service in terms of perks such as adding Hulu or a different TV streaming service such as HBO.

Spotify is available on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac, and is a free app in the App Store. Spotify’s Mac app can be downloaded from their website for free as well.
