Apple has released its first developer beta of iOS 12.4 with iOS 12.3 getting out of beta on Monday. Registered developers can download the new iOS 12.4 beta from Apple’s Developer Center or by installing the Beta Profile config on your device. macOS 10.14.6 developer beta for Mac, tvOS 12.4 developer beta for Apple TV, and watchOS 5.3 developer beta for Apple Watch are also available today.
This is the first software update that would bring changes in the Wallet App in order to support Apple’s new payment method, the Apple Card. Apple Card was first announced on March 25th ahead of a summer launch in the United States.
The physical Apple Card is constructed of solid titanium and comes laser-etched with an owner’s name. Aside from the owner’s name, the front of the card features a chip and Apple logo, while the back of the card features a magstripe accompanied by the logos of banking partners Mastercard and Goldman Sachs.
We expect that watch OS watchOS 5.3 will at least add the support of Apple Card in minimum so as to parallel itself with iOS 12.4. Along with this feature, the update must have brought minor tweaks and fixes in all the developer betas in order to enhance the usability of the devices.
Apple has its developer conference(WWDC 2019) on June 3rd in San Jose where Apple will unveil iOS 13, watchOS 6, and macOS 10.15, and much more.
