About two weeks ago, Apple started selling refurbished models for the entry-level M3 MacBook Pros starting at $1,359 (with 8-core CPU/10-core GPU/8GB unified memory/512GB SSD). Now, Apple has made several models of the higher-end M3 Pro/Max 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro available at its Certified Refurbished Store, giving you more powerful configurations at great discounts.
The 14-inch M3 Pro models start at $1,699 (with 11-core CPU/14-core GPU/18GB unified memory/512GB SSD), which is $300 off compared to buying it new at MSRP. The 16-inch M3 Pro models start at $2,119 (with 12-core CPU/18-core GPU/18GB unified memory/512GB SSD).
Compared to the base 14-inch MacBook Pro, you’ll get a lot more performance and value for a true pro notebook. In addition to starting at 18GB of unified memory (as opposed to the infamously low 8GB), you can connect to two external monitors for an M3 Pro model or three for an M3 Max model. Additionally, you’ll get an additional Thunderbolt port that supports full Thunderbolt 4 support, not to mention that you can pick up either an M3 Pro or Max model in a stunning new Space Black finish.
Getting an Apple product from Apple’s Certified Refurbished Store gives you the same benefits as buying a new Apple product. You’ll get similar quality as a new product, the same one-year limited warranty coverage, the same 14-day return policy, and the option to purchase AppleCare+. Do note that supplies for refurbished models fluctuate over time, so if you’re interested in buying the latest M3-based MacBook Pro, buying it refurbished is always a great idea.
