One of the biggest features that the Apple Watch Series 10 introduced last month was larger displays. In fact, the 46mm case size’s display has an active screen area of 1,220 sq. mm; that’s almost 3% larger than the current Apple Watch Ultra’s display at 1,185 sq. mm. However, despite having larger displays on both case sizes, they won’t get either the Modular Ultra or Wayfinder watch face as those watch faces remain exclusive to all Apple Watch Ultra models. As a bonus, both of those watch faces have Night Mode, which turns every complication red to preserve your night vision.
Additionally, the Apple Watch Hermès Series 10 won’t get the Hermès Maritime watch face since that watch face is, of course, exclusive to only the Apple Watch Hermès Ultra 2.
It’s unclear why those watch faces didn’t appear in the Series 10 models, but it’s likely that Apple wants to make those watch faces exclusive to the Ultra models, which makes another deciding factor in choosing between the mainstream Series lineup or the rugged Ultra lineup.
Nevertheless, Series 10 introduced two new watch faces that are also available to all Watch models running watchOS 11: Flux and Reflections. Unfortunately, watchOS 11 also removed a few watch faces that long-time Watch enthusiasts have noticed.
