School may just be over a month away, but Apple is getting ready for the back-to-school season as it’s now teaming up with California State University to give iPad Air devices to at most 35,000 freshman/new transfer students starting this coming semester. Students will also receive an Apple Pencil as well as the Smart Keyboard Folio, completing the entire on-the-go package. For years, Apple has been committed to working with the educational market by offering back-to-school programs and devices such as the $329 iPad.
“At Apple, we believe that education is a powerful force for equity and opportunity, and that technology can empower all students to achieve their goals. We’re thrilled that iPad Air and the incredible education apps in the App Store will be central to the experience at CSU campuses across California, and will play a part in the learning and career development of students from Humboldt to San Marcos.”
-Susan Prescott, Apple’s VP Education
