The iPhone 13 lineup is expected to launch in a month, with new information from reliable reporters rushing the headlines, now Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman is revealing some big camera features are coming to the iPhone 13.
In a new report, Gurman is stating that the next iPhones will feature key camera features that will attract new buyers.
The big new feature is ProRes: Which enables users to shoot clips in a “higher-quality format” and lets video editors dig more and have more control during the post-production. The feature will record in HD or 4K on the upcoming devices.
ProRes is a feature that is given to professional video editors in film studios and isn’t meant to be used by normal users with no capabilities of professional video editing, which could make this feature available on the Pro variants.
Another feature is Cinematic Video, which is basically Portrait Mode for videos, where the depth sensor will create a bokeh effect and blur the background when the camera is pointed at a person.
Portrait Mode for video is actually available on FaceTime on iOS 15 beta and will be a big new feature when the software update debuts this fall.
When it comes to photography, Apple is said to use a new “filter” system that will boost and improve color reproduction. This filter system is said to be powered by Apple’s A15 SoC.
Finally, the Cupertino-based company will reduce the notch on the iPhone 13 lineup and feature a much-needed ProMotion display that gives a faster refresh rate for the display for a smooth experience. So far, ProMotion is only available on the iPad Pro lineup and was expected to debut on the iPhone with iPhone 12.
