Apple has officially sent invitations to its next event this fall dubbed “Unleashed” on October 18th, where the company will reveal the long-rumored refreshed MacBook Pros.
The new machines are reportedly given a new refreshed design, bigger 14-inch, and 16-inch displays, returning ports such as HDMI and an SD slot, and finally the new faster M1X chip.
But that’s not all, according to last minutes leaks and reports from reliable Apple analyst @dylandkt, the company may give the webcam a quality update alongside new standard configurations.

Dylan is noting that the webcam on the MacBook Pros is upgrading from 720p to 1080p just like the latest iMac, now it looks like it’s the MacBook Pro’s turn to gain the same quality.
The analyst is also stating that the baseline MacBook Pro will start at 16GB of RAM, with 512GB SSD. As of right now, the baseline 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB SSD, so this is a great doubling of specs for the likely same price.
Regarding 120Hz ProMotion, Dylan is saying that he has “no clue” if Apple is testing the display technology for the upcoming machines:
“120Hz was being tested on a Mac prototype earlier this year but I have no clue when it’s coming or what model it was being tested on. It is definitely in the works but not sure when. If I find out any more information, I’ll let you guys know.”
M1X will be the biggest headline during next week’s event. However, Apple could also reveal the rumored AirPods 3 featuring a design inspired by the current AirPods Pro.
