Apple will opened its 26th retail location today in Los Angeles at the historic Tower Theatre. At the same time, Apple launched “Today at Apple Creative Studios,” a global initiative that will inspire young creatives through hands-on experience and mentorship. As Los Angeles is the heart of the creative industry, Apple is committed to drive creativity with thousands of supported jobs through Apple TV+.
The Tower Theatre holds a special place in the history of technology and creativity. Originally designed by S. Charles Lee in 1927, it was the original home to the first theater in Los Angeles.
After the theater closed its doors in 1988, Apple worked with restoration artists and the City of Los Angeles to thoughtfully preserve and restore the theater’s beauty and grandeur to even the finest details. In the process, the building has been restored to its original beauty with reimagined iconic features, including the clock tower, Broadway marquee, and historic blade sign.
At the heart of the store lays the Forum, where Apple team members will lead free daily sessions for “Today at Apple” in front of the signature video wall. Other areas include the expansive auditorium for displaying the latest products and the original seating for Genius Bar appointments.
The newest Apple Retail location will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m from Monday to Saturday and 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday (PDT).
