As we’re nearing the end of the year, Apple Fitness+ on Instagram has given us a brief teaser reel on what’s to come for 2026. In this reel, you’ll see several Fitness+ trainers reading the Apple Fitness+ Times newspaper with the headlines: “EXCLUSIVE: 2026 plans still under wraps – for now.”
Teasing such news would be fitting for this season since New Year’s Day marks the beginning of a new year, and people definitely have set up their resolutions for the new year, with overall health being the top resolution. Apple did release several Apple Watch ads that motivate people to “quit quitting” by “evading the couch.” In fact, Apple did have several announcements related to Apple Fitness+ around that season. On January 3, 2025, Apple published a Newsroom article that detailed new offerings from Fitness+, including new strength programs, pickleball workouts, and yoga workshops. So we could see similar announcements sometime in the first week of 2026. There are also rumors of Apple potentially launching a Health+ subscription service sometime in the spring of 2026, and that service may be powered by Apple Intelligence. The vastly improved Siri is also rumored for iOS 26.4, which is also expected to be released to the public in the spring, so it would be perfect timing.
For what it’s worth, Apple Fitness+ is a great way to get in shape, and it works seamlessly across all your Apple devices. All you need is your iPhone and a Fitness+ subscription (starting at $9.99/month or $79.99/year). Using an Apple Watch or AirPods Pro 3 with its built-in heart rate sensors further enhances the Fitness+ experience, as you’ll see your metrics on screen, and with an Apple TV, you can enjoy your workouts on the big screen.
